Gila’s day out

Good turn up of seven bikes and riders. Having been up to the hills the last three weeks we decided to go out to the Airport for break fasting. Good ride thru town with little traffic and we soon arrived at Club Cenkerang for a bite to eat and some refreshments. Jeans sportster was having battery troubles so he decided to stop there and get a lift back to town as we were headed further away from help should it be needed.

Mike stocked up in case we got stranded somewhere…...

(Pam’s back but Mike is still obviously dressing himself.)

We decided to just follow some new roads and Mike Clayton took us out into new territory. About 30 Km past the airport the road turned into a goat track so we stopped and made friends with some of the locals. They probably only see one expat per year up there and having six turn up on Harleys brought all the kampong out to see.

Backtracking a bit we learnt of a port up ahead so we pressed on thru surprisingly good roads and little traffic to end up at a jetty and beach. They even sold beer! Although we managed to drain the supply with just one round. Good forward planning by Gila made sure that we still had plenty of stocks left.

Making a couple of roadside stops along the way back into town we ended up at D’s in Blok M. Excellent ride with a round trip of 170 Km.

This one we will be doing again for sure.

What goes in…..must come out
