After torrential rain all night Jack, Grant, Nigel and myself joined for starter coffee just after 6.00 AM. Then down to the now much more expensive fuel station ( just had a +30% fuel rise) to catch up with the others. Left photo is Gerard's new Sportster, Shaun (on left), his son, will mostly be riding this bike. Nigel (on right) used to own this bike and it has been parked up for a few years so good to see it back in use again. Gila arrived on a rental as his new bike is not available till Tuesday and he has sold his old one to Allen. The rental backfired and blew off the air cleaner and then spat flames out thru the carby melting Gila’s pants along the way. Although claiming serious injury ALL day he received |

the due lack of sympathy it deserved . What else do you expect when you wear pants made from recycled plastic bags. There was to be a short ride prior to watching the F1 race at 9.00 AM. Just as we left the fuel station it poured down with rain and all agreed to head straight to Mad Dogs. Somewhat wet we settled in till 12.00 noon. |
|
Still just raining we headed into the block for a quick one then to the Auto mall to have a look at Mike’s new bike. Amazing place with amongst lots of other cars and bikes 5 Ferraris, 2 Bentley’s, 2 Rolls, 2 Porches, 1 HumVee Mk2, and a tricked out custom Harley for US $ 78,000. Not bad for a third world country. HDCI had a show on at 2.00 o’clock so just pausing at the Benkel we headed into town. |

This tricked out custom was there and included such things as air suspension. Very nice bike and you could own it for a mere US $50,000. The owner claims it owes him $ 75,000 but he has two others as well! By this time it had cleared up and the gang headed south via D’s Kemang.
Wet start to the day but by the end everybody was happy as always. |

Thanks to HDCI for the invite. Always good to catch up with them.
Left . Grant in dreamland…. |
