Charity Run

Today we did another charity run to the orphanage that we support. The children are between 1 month to 6 years old, many have medical problems as well. Members donated toys, clothes, food and many other items. Eleven bikes and  others in cars showed up to support the children. This is in addition to our monthly donations of milk powder, clothes, shoes, etc..

Several children have also had hair lip surgery provided by the club as well.

 

 

The children were all great and several sang songs for us. There are about 60 children currently at this orphanage. Thankfully some of the 24 children added after the Aceh disaster have been able to go home. Seeing these children brought home to all of us what the club does, most do not see on a day to day basis where our funds and efforts go.

After a couple of hours there we went to the anniversary of Monochrome  Cycles and several members lightened their wallets with discounts of up to 50%. Some even lost their wallets altogether!

 

Most rode back to Brett’s house after that and then retired early

We, as a group, cannot help every child in need in Indonesia but those that we do, I am sure, will never forget how the Yayasan HOG changed their lives.
