Mountain Goats

These five desperadoes and myself went out to find the waterfalls we had been to before. First few miles on a new road and while interesting the overabundance of speed bumps was annoying. Back onto familiar roads and headed down to the falls, well almost. The road captain, see “Dog Box”  turned off a road or two earlier than we should have. The road started to get bad so we stopped and decided to keep going on as it would probably end up on the road that we wanted anyway. After the road vanished altogether and we found ourselves on road base consisting of rocks larger than baseballs. Another stop and we decided to continue again as it surely couldn’t get any worse……..WRONG

By this time we were well up the side of the mountain and the rocks just got bigger and the track steeper. In full four wheel drive mode we continued very much to the amusement of those few locals that live up there. Seeing six Harleys motor crossing up these grades caused quite a stir.

After almost 10 kilometers of this and some very very hot Harleys we finally found a decent road again. What no pictures you say? NO, taking pictures was the last thing on our minds. Thankfully no serious damage was sustained by any of the bikes apart from a broken foot peg. We ended up in the back of Bogor and the road thru the hills down into Bogor was a great ride with continuous sweeping curves and little traffic
