Skid Marks

Last Thursday night more than usual numbers got together for a night out. For those that missed the photo’s sent out here is another one. Great night and many “significant others” also attended. Thanks to Gila for organizing this.

Sunday saw 10 bikes at the station and we were to pick up two others at Permata Sentul Golf Course. Easy ride down there and no dangerous traffic this week.

Picking up our two additional riders the idea was to go up thru the hills for a ride.

See Bob’s newly repainted Police special below? Well, unfortunately, both he and the bike became a victim of one of the notorious potholes in the road less than ten minutes after this shot was taken. Suddenly the sticky side wasn’t down as it should be.

Thankfully not too badly hurt, he was able to ride the short distance home and we all went with him.

 

Nice outside area at his place and after an hour or so we headed back to Jakarta. One of the sunniest days for a week we made it back in the dry to Dave’s place for a visit. By then it started to rain and a short stop in Blok M and then home. Second time we have gotten as far as the golf course and not made it to the hills. Perhaps third time lucky.

 

First time somebody has come off during an actual run for a long time, everybody was glad to see Bob get up and ride his bike home.

And before I get all the emails, no, he had only been drinking coffee up till then.  The New Zealand photo’s have I believe been done so keep a look out for the web posting soon.
