KNEE DEEP IN…...

Setting off a little late from the fuel station  10 bikes headed down to the Batavia Café . First half of the ride was all green lights and the second all red lights. However, no problems and we soon arrived downtown for a coffee.

After discussion on some of the finer points of the published riding rules (see Events page) John lead the pack towards Ancol.

We soon came across some local flooding and most riders were not in favor of going thru knee deep water so a not so quick turn around and then rode up Sudirman all the way thru the city and out to Pondok Indah.

The traffic was not too bad and we ended up at the Bikers Station in Bintaro. This was quickly opened up for us and all enjoyed looking at the collection of bikes in various stages of completion.

Mid morning by this stage and some hunger pangs began to set in. The Kristal was voted as to be the next stop and a buffet lunch. Still early so we headed out to a waterlogged Bugils Café. Strange sensation standing at  a bar and seeing water coming up thru  the floorboards. Stagnant Jakarta water in not the most pleasant of smells so we adjourned outside.

Most of the gang headed towards Blok M to carry on while others headed home. Almost 80 Km town ride in fine weather. Nice to get the bike home dry for a change.

See you next week.
