CHAPTER RIDING RULES

 

 

Road rules for group riding:

 

 

1. On the day a road captain and tail end rider must be clearly nominated, all riders must be informed of these people

2. Road captain must make it clear to all riders where the destination is to be

3. Ensure you have sufficient benzene prior to ride departure

4. All bikes must ride with their head lights on

5. At no point must the road captain be over taken

6. Whom ever is deemed to be the slowest rider in the group, must position him or her self behind the road captain

7. Riders must position them self appropriately in staggered rider file while motoring

8. Each rider is responsible for keeping the following rider clearly visible in their rear vision mirror

9. If the following rider disappears from view, slow down and or stop and wait for the following rider to appear, bikes in front of you will follow suit

10. If after five minutes the following bike does not appear, stop and or back track to the last point of visual contact, offer assistance if required

11. If the missing rider has not been located, wait at the point of last visual contact, riders in front of you will come back to this point and or communicate with you with what ever means they have

12. Never leave a lone rider or a fellow rider having difficulty un less it is mutually agreed

13. Always ride with the best interests of fellow riders in mind

a. Avoid placing yourself and or fellow riders in danger

b. If you have any concerns of fellow riders or issues that may affect the harmony of the days ride, report such to the road captain at your earliest convenience. The road captain is responsible for eliminating any concerns

c. Reframe from any radical riding and or riding which may impact on the chapters image and or jeopardize the safety of fellow riders or others

d. The road captain has the autonomy to exclude any rider from further participation in the days ride, such a decision would be the result of a general consensus of opinion of all riders in the group to exclude one or more riders from carrying on with the group

e. The Chapter committee has the right to reprimand any rider and or exclude any rider from future chapter rides either temporarily or permanently
